Confidently Becoming Global Citizens through the Talkshow “Gen Z – Experiencing and Maturing in the Digital Era”

To help high school students choose careers that align with their passions and offer opportunities in the digital era, the “CMC University’s Experienced Day: Unbox Your Future” event featured the talkshow “Gen Z – Experiencing and Maturing in the Digital Era.” During this session, high school students had the opportunity to meet and engage openly with speakers representing two generations, Gen Y and Gen Z: Mr. Đặng Tùng Sơn, Deputy CEO of CMC Telecom; Mr. Hồ Như Hải, Deputy Rector of CMC University; and Ms. Vũ Linh Nga, an outstanding student majoring in Information Technology & Communication, who received a 100% scholarship for the entire 2022 academic year.

The talkshow provided valuable advice for Gen Z on self-development, creating a learning path for experiencing and maturing in the digital era, and becoming global citizens. “At the age of 18, seize the opportunity to design your own future journey. Show maturity by choosing your own profession, major, and university and persuading your parents to invest in your choices,” as quoted by Mr. Hồ Như Hải, Deputy Rector of CMC University, addressed to the high school students when they stand at the threshold of choosing their future career paths.

According to representatives from CMC University’s leadership, university education is a journey of “self-learning” and “experiencing.” Therefore, high school students should choose an educational environment that fosters self-learning and provides them with the most opportunities for experiences. Experience helps individuals grow and discover their true value. In addition, high school students gained insights into the dynamic and exciting life of CMC University students, their academic stories, and experiences in the pioneering digital university environment through the sharing session by Vũ Linh Nga during the talkshow.

In addition to valuable career and university selection advice, high school students also listened to real-world experiences about working in the digital era from an Information Technology expert’s perspective, shared by Mr. Đặng Tùng Sơn, Deputy CEO of CMC Telecom.

Especially, at the event, Vũ Linh Nga officially received an internship offer from the Deputy CEO of CMC Telecom. This serves as evidence that CMC Technology Corporation’s member companies always welcome CMC University students to participate in internships during their studies and are ready to offer job opportunities after graduation. According to the Deputy CEO of CMC Telecom, welcoming CMC University students for internships is part of the company’s human resource development and expansion strategy in the near future. CMC Telecom will create the best conditions for students to learn and develop themselves, ensuring their success in their future careers.

At the conclusion of the program, lucky high school students in the Lucky Draw segment received meaningful gifts from CMC University, presented by Mr. Hồ Như Hải, Deputy Rector of the university.
