I. Admissions Procedures for Students of Cohort 2

1. Verify Admission Results

Candidates can check their admission results by logging in to the CMC University Admissions System: https://xettuyen.cmcu.edu.vn/ and entering their ID number.

2. Required conditions

Once receiving the admission notification from CMC University, candidates must:

Complete the online admission confirmation on the Ministry of Education and Training’s Common Admission System by 5:00 PM on August 8, 2023.

Complete the online registration information on CMC University’s online admission system at https://nhaphoc.cmcu.edu.vn.

For candidates admitted to the Computer Science, Information Technology, and Business Administration programs, register for the standard mode (SM) or Global mode (GM) on the online admission system at https://nhaphoc.cmcu.edu.vn.

3. Dates and locations of admission

a) Dates:

August 29 to 31, 2023

For students admitted to the major of Information and Technology, Computer Science: August 29, 2023

For students admitted to the major of Business Administration: August 30, 2023

For students admitted to the majors of Fine Arts and Design, Japanese Language Program and Korean Language Program: August 31, 2023

Note:

  • Morning: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

b) Location: CMC University, Van Phuc Campus, No. 84C Nguyen Thanh Binh Street, Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City.

4. Detailed information on Admission Documents

Read the information carefully to prepare all

  • Admission Letter
  • Original High School Graduation Certificate (for candidates who graduated in 2023)
  • Photocopy of High School Transcript (*)
  • Photocopy of Temporary High School Graduation Certificate (for candidates who graduated in 2022) or Photocopy of High School Diploma (for candidates who graduated in previous years) (*)
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate
  • Photocopy of Identity Card or Resident ID Card or Passport
  • Photocopy of documents proving eligibility for preferential treatment (if applicable) (*)
  • Photocopy of other diplomas, certificates (English certificates, military training-defense, etc.), achievements (if applicable) (*)
  • Two (2) 3×4 photos
  • Original Youth Union Book or transfer file of the Youth Union (if applicable)
  • Military service transfer letter (for male students)

(*) All documents must be photocopied with a notarized signature.

5. Fees to be paid upon admission

a) Fees to be paid

To be announced in detail on the admission letter sent to each admitted candidate to CMC University.

b) Due date: 

From August 24 to August 28, 2023, admitted candidates must pay the fees and tuition for the first semester (temporarily collected) by bank transfer. The details of the fees and tuition to be paid are as follows:

(*) Students must enter the correct transfer content as instructed, use the correct student ID on the admission letter (check the admission letter online at https://xettuyen.cmcu.edu.vn/).

(*) In case the student is awarded a 100% scholarship and has paid the application fee, the application fee will be deducted from the English tuition (for candidates who need to take additional English classes) or will be refunded after the candidate takes the entrance English test.

II. Instructions for Preparing for the National Defense and Security Course

1. Participants

Students of Cohort 2 admitted to CMC University in 2023, except those who are exempt from or deferred from the course according to Article 4 of Joint Circular No 18/2015/TTLT-BGDĐT-BLĐTBXH dated September 8, 2015.

2. Time

From September 6 to September 22, 2023.

Specific time and departure location: Morning of September 6, 2023: at CMC University, Van Phuc campus, 84C Nguyen Thanh Binh Street, Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City.

Note: Specific information on the time, vehicle number, room assignment, and unit assignment will be sent to each student via email and on the website before September 5, 2023.

3. Study location

National Defense and Security Education Center, Military Academy of Hanoi Capital Command, Son Tay town, Hanoi.

4. Estimated amount of money each student needs to pay:

a. Meals: 70,000 VND/student/3 meals (17 days). Estimated collection: 1,190,000 VND.

b. Additional fees: 285,000 VND/student/course (rent, electricity, water, study materials, laundry, bed linen at the end of the course, military medicine, common living supplies).

c. Payment method: Students transfer money directly to the account of Military Academy of Hanoi Capital Command at the study location (the school will directly guide students in making payments). Note that cash is not accepted.

5. Items that students need to prepare: Personal identification.

Notes:

  • Students are not allowed to bring food to Military Academy of Hanoi Capital Command. There are snack shops and some necessary items for students at the school canteen. Students can buy and pay by bank transfer and limit the use of cash when shopping.

  • Students should limit bringing a lot of cash and jewelry when coming to study at t Military Academy of Hanoi Capital Command to avoid theft.

6. Some regulations when studying at the Military Academy of Hanoi Capital Command

a. Good moral quality, strictly abiding by the laws of the State, military discipline, and the regulations of the Academy (formal attire, neat hair, no dyed hair in blue, red, etc., no revealing obscene tattoos)

b. Sufficient health conditions to participate in study (complete health declaration with all information in the Academy’s form)

c. Strictly abide by the Academy’s regulations:

  • Not bringing or using stimulants, addictive substances, or explosives; not storing or using military weapons or crude weapons (intentional violations will be suspended from studying and transferred to the Academy for handling).
  • Not taking a break during the entire period of study of the National Defense and Security course (except in special cases); not receiving relatives, friends to visit; not receiving goods, food sent by family and relatives).

7. Extracurricular activities

In the process of studying National Defense and Security, students of the School are able to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities that are diverse and inspiring to have a meaningful and memorable youth experience with each other. In the 2023 academic year, the extracurricular program in the course is designed with 3 themes: Discipline is strength (first week), sports are solidarity (second week) and the melody of youth (last week).

III. English proficiency assessment for all students of Cohort 2 (September 25) and students of Cohorrt 2 enrolled in the GM (September 25 & 26)

1. English proficiency test:

a. All students admitted to the University: Take the CMC University English proficiency placement test (a placement test with 2 skills) on September 25, 2023.

b. For students enrolled in GM (Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration) and score 49/50 on the English proficiency placement test (placement test): Take the competency test (a competency test with 4 skills) on September 26, 2023.

2. Use of English proficiency test results:

a. For students enrolled in the SM system: The results of the English proficiency placement test are the basis for building a learning plan and learning English during the regular curriculum. Students are encouraged to reach the SM English proficiency exit standard (level 4 of the University, IELTS 4.5 or equivalent) before the 7th semester.

b. For students enrolled in GM and meet the English proficiency entry standard for GM (level 6 of the University, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent): are admitted to the regular curriculum of GM.

c. For students enrolled in GM but do not meet the English proficiency entry standard for GM: The results of the tests are the basis for building a learning plan and learning English to meet the English proficiency entry standard for GM classes.

3. English program at CMC University

IV. Orientation Week

1. Time:

From September 27 to 30, 2023.

2. Location:

CMC University, Van Phuc Campus, 84C Nguyen Thanh Binh Street, Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City.

3. Purpose and significance

The Orientation Week for New Students (also known as Orientation Week or A Week) is designed to help new students:

  • Explore and quickly integrate into their new home, CMC University (mission, vision, core values, organization, culture, etc.)
  • Communicate with lecturers, staff, senior students, and invited guests of the University (entrepreneurs, scientists, etc.) about their experiences, skills, and methods of studying at university, developing, managing, and taking care of themselves (both mental and physical health), connecting with businesses and the community.
  • Learn about and register for student-managed clubs (academic, sports, arts, volunteer clubs), comprehensive skill development programs, student leadership development programs, etc.
  • Experience the university environment, begin to build a learning and personal development roadmap, prepare to embrace opportunities and challenges to grow quickly and succeed early.

V. Training Plan for the School Year 2023 – 2024

1. Fall semester plan

  • From October 2, 2023 to January 6, 2024: Major study, English study, semester exams.
  • From January 8, 2024 to January 12, 2024: Break between two semesters.

2. Spring semester plan

  • From January 15 to May 11, 2024: Major study, English study, semester exams.
  • From May 13 to May 26, 2024: Break between two semesters.

3. Summer semester plan

  • From May 27 to August 31, 2024: Major study, English study, semester exams.
  • From September 1 to September 15, 2024: End of school break.
